About
The business in short: the Caldwell properties we work on, how a job gets scoped and priced in writing, and the kinds of work we say no to.
What the business does
Furrowmere finds water leaks in homes and small buildings. Finding is the whole job: we locate the source, mark it and write it up, and the repair is quoted separately by whoever you hire for it.
Every price on this site is an estimated range and is labeled that way. Your own figure comes as a free quote by phone and then a written quote before any visit.
Some calls end on the phone. If the meter is still and the lawn is dry, or the trouble is a reading rather than a pipe, we say so.
- Finding only, with repairs quoted separately
- No figure given before the symptoms are heard
- No walls or lawns opened to look
- Told plainly when there is nothing to find

How it runs
Four steps, no surprises
A free quote by phone, and a written quote before any visit.
Call and tell us what you see
Where the water is, when it started, what the meter does with every faucet off, and whether the lot has city irrigation. Those answers rule a system in or out before anyone drives over.
Get the figure in writing
The estimated range turns into a written quote for the visit, with any after-hours charge said first. Nothing starts until you agree to it.
We separate, then listen
Drinking line against irrigation line, house against yard, hot side against cold. Then the tool that fits what is left: pressure, acoustic, thermal, moisture or tracer gas.
You keep the finding
The spot marked, how it was found, what the pipe is and what fixing it is likely to involve, written down for any licensed plumber or irrigation contractor you pick.
Before you choose
Five questions for anyone you call, us included
A finding is only as good as the reasoning behind it, and these bring the reasoning out.
What is the estimated range, and what moves it?
Both halves. Detection sits at an estimated $150 to $400 for a typical house; a figure outside that should come with a reason.
Did they ask whether the lot has city irrigation?
In Caldwell that one question can halve the search, and asking it takes a sentence.
Is the repair quoted apart from the finding?
It should be. One combined number hides which of two different jobs you are paying for.
Will you tell me if there is nothing to find?
A still meter and a dry lawn often answer that before anyone drives out, and a business that says so is arguing against its own short-term interest.
Can I look up your registration?
Idaho's Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses runs a public search for contractor registrations and plumbing licenses.
